Image and Video Transmission over Wireless Channel: A Subband Modulation Approach

چکیده

A new approach of reliable image and video transmission over noisy channel is proposed. The proposed subband modulation scheme combines source coding and channel modulation scheme t o achieve high compression ef ic iency and preferable quality. Further performance gain is obtained by multiresolution modulat ion and bits re-mapping scheme that assign e f i c i en t mapping f rom source codeword t o channel modulation points. T h e bits re-mapping scheme performs nearly same as the optimal mapping design scheme [3] but with much lower complexaty. T h e simulation is carried out o n Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel, and extended t o the slow Rayleigh fading channel.
